Savior's death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption from sin and disobedience to proclaim the whole love.

For this reason , the seven sentences uttered by Jesus on the Cross of Calvary have their role in the salvation of mankind.

"Father, forgive them for they know not what they do" (Luke 23, 24 ) , are the first words after the Gospels , Jesus uttered while he was brutally hit after being tried and condemned to crucifixion. These words are actually a prayer of forgiveness răstignitorilor His Father to the prayer which includes all his enemies .

" Woman, behold your son " . Then I said to John, " Behold your mother! And from that hour the disciple took her to his house " (John 19:26-27 ) , are the words that the Savior gave to John, his beloved Apostle , while he was nailed to the Cross. With these words designate Mary " new Eve ," Mother of all believers.

" Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise " (Luke 23:39-43 ) . This phrase was uttered by Jesus when one of the thieves crucified with him him a blasphemer , while the other rebuked him , saying, " Do not you fear God , you're in the same sentence with him ? " . The words spoken by Jesus reveals the truth that each of us according to our deeds receive the due .

"My God , why hast thou forsaken me? " (Matthew 27:46 ) . With these words , the Son of God comes to His Father as " Son of Man " . The cry that is heard on the Cross means that Spirit no longer unites the Son with the Father. Cabasilas thus expounded these words : " On the cross Christ took upon Himself death itself . Autonomy strength lies in her death , but Christ gives his father's death and therefore the dying Christ 's death : " The trampling death by death . " For then, no man dies alone. "

" I thirst " speaks Saviour on the Cross. These words were stated and psalmist David was then recorded by the Holy Evangelists Matthew and John ( Ps. 68, 25). They define on the one hand the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies sufferings of the incarnate Word , and on the other hand, the depiction Savior Son of Man .

" Săvârşitu - to " , says Jesus , after being watered with vinegar (John 19:30) . Ago , Christ has finished all his work . Son of God has revealed through His death on the cross of Calvary , the vast love for people , wishing by this obedience to emancipate the Earth from the burden of sin and establish righteousness .

"Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit ." And this saying, " He gave up the ghost " (Luke 23 , 46) . Son of man entrusts his soul into the hands of the Father, because through His Spirit of God , He always was one with the Father .
